According to the public relations office of University of Science and Technology of Mazandaran, a specialized workshop on autonomous vehicles was held by Dr. Reza Javanmard, a faculty member of the Computer Engineering Department, during the ECCV2024 international conference in Milan, Italy.
The one-day workshop, titled "Event Detection for Situational Awareness in Autonomous Vehicles," was part of the prestigious ECCV2024 conference, which focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning, hosted by Italy.
After an initial evaluation among hundreds of participating teams, a research team consisting of professors from the Universities of Oxford, Leeds, and Oxford Brookes in the UK, ETH Zurich in Switzerland, Vienna University of Technology in Austria, University of Science and Technology of Mazandaran, and other universities, was selected to present their progress and completion of their project at the international conference. It should be noted that Dr. Reza Javanmard, as the organizer and a member of the aforementioned research team, delivered the opening speech at this specialized workshop.
